PeakBiety

Everything we do is elevated by our experience.

March 18, 2015 By PeakBiety 2 Comments

This past March, PeakBiety branding + advertising proudly celebrated its 27th year in business. But more important than what this milestone means to us, is what it means to the clients we serve. In an industry where some ad agencies barely outlast the campaigns they create, our longevity gives our clients the assurance of a successful track record.

Specifically, it means:

  • In our 27 year history, we’ve solved a myriad of marketing problems—maybe even the one that you’re facing right now.
  • Our full-service experience has taught us how to analyze a communication problem and come up with the best solutions, unlike specialty shops that offer only one-dimensional solutions.
  • We’ve gained 27 years of media experience from print to TV to digital, allowing us to create multi-media campaigns that use each medium to its full advantage.
  • We’ve adapted to 27 years of industry changes, making us quicker to adapt to future ones
  • We’ve earned the respect of our clients, many of which repeatedly turn to us to create strategies that change perceptions.
  • We’ve consistently succeeded in engaging audiences through unexpected creative expressions.

To all those who have played a role in our successful history, we’d like to say thank you. And to those who wish to benefit from our longtime experience in the future, we look forward to putting 27 years worth of knowledge to work solving your next marketing challenge.

PeakBiety teams with Tampa Electric to help consumers manage energy use

Innovative Energy Planner℠ program seeks to change consumer behavior

TAMPA, Fla. – (Dec. 3, 2013) – Challenged by consumer behaviors that demonstrated an increasing appetite for electricity coupled with a general lack of interest in managing electricity usage, Tampa Electric Company called on PeakBiety branding + advertising to help overcome this consumer apathy toward conservation messages.

“Florida homes are using more major appliances, air conditioning, pool heating and electrical gadgets than ever before, yet conservation messages have become old for many customers. The result is that most consumers tune out and ignore these messages,” says Glen Peak, PeakBiety president and brand strategist. “We needed to find an innovative way to gain consumer attention and comprehension, but also to motivate them to change their behaviors without compromising lifestyles.’”

Tampa Electric had developed an innovative program called Energy Planner that empowers consumers to take more control of their energy use and even offers access to lower rates in the bargain. Subscribers now have the convenience of enrolling and programming use of major heating and cooling systems online. Tampa Electric asked PeakBiety to help generate greater customer participation in the program.

The agency used an unexpected approach compared to most utility industry conservation advertising. The new ads feature family-friendly animated characters, such as a computer that tells customers how they can use their own computer to program their thermostat and some appliances while away from home. In another commercial, a talking house – that’s not feeling well – suggests calling Tampa Electric to schedule a free Home Energy Audit. The multi-dimensional campaign incorporates the use of television, radio, print, electronic and social media to introduce the benefits of a varied set of energy efficiency program offerings.

“We were pleased to see the positive response from consumers during the pre-launch testing of the concepts,” says Ray Matava, senior coordinator, marketing and customer communications at Tampa Electric. “We are firmly committed to a partnership of energy conservation with our customers, and anticipate a high level of participation in the Energy Planner initiative.”

Raising Hope Across America PSA for Eckerd

February 5, 2013 By PeakBiety Leave a Comment

Tampa, FL —  Eckerd, a non-profit organization that helps abused, neglected and at-risk children, recently engaged the creative services of PeakBiety branding + advertising to assist in creating a video. Objectives for the project were to inform and raise awareness, reach people in a way that would touch hearts, and secure donations.

To help Eckerd reach these objectives, PeakBiety produced a music video, featuring a song co-written by Amy Phillips, creative director. Searching for a teen singer to deliver the song on camera, a Howard W. Blake School of the Arts student, Sasha Noonan, was chosen. Sasha was a finalist on Teen Idol Dublin and recently moved to the U.S. where she attends Blake.

Eckerd’s “Raising Hope Across America” video was produced to be featured at their “Jingle Jangle Jam,” a fundraising event that was held on December 6, 2012. Because of the generous sponsors that attended this event, over $200,000 was raised to help abused, neglected, at risk children.

About Eckerd

Directions for Mental Health announces new name

August 6, 2012 By PeakBiety Leave a Comment

Clearwater, Florida—Directions for Living, formerly known as Directions for Mental Health, is thrilled to formally announce the agency’s new name, brand promise, and graphic identity to the public today. It is the organization’s hope that the name ‘Directions for  Living’ and commitment that ‘Life Gets Better Here’ will capture the true focus of the agency, which still includes but now extends well beyond the previously narrow mission of providing premier behavioral health services, as it enters the next stage of assisting Tampa Bay  consumers along an expanding continuum of care.

Directions for Living
Directions for Living

The Directions for Living logo, which was developed in collaboration with PeakBiety branding+advertising, was carefully chosen to represent the dynamic integration of Directions for Living’s four main service sets: Prevention, Wellness, & Recovery; Adult Behavioral Health; Children’s Behavioral Health; and  Child Safety & Family Preservation. Together, these core areas make up the comprehensive, integrated health care agency that many have come  to know through experience; now, the public will be able to understand the multi-faceted nature of Directions for Living at first impression.

The transition is well timed, as Directions is celebrating its 30th year of  operation, along with several other significant milestones this year. Fiscal Year ‘11-‘12 brought record expansion and growth for the social services agency, including the honor of being named the 2012 Large Not-for-Profit Business of the Year by the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, becoming the sole Diversion Services provider for Pinellas County with the mission of diverting children from the child welfare  system, introducing a new location in Pasco County, serving as lead social services agency for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office-sponsored homeless shelter, Safe Harbor, being awarded scattered site Supported Housing funding in Pasco County, and earning an exclusive contract with Pinellas County Health and Human Services to serve as the behavioral health provider in the innovative integration of behavioral and primary health care.

“Addressing the whole person by integrating care is one of the best ways to improve the quality of life for our children, adults, and families,” said April Lott, President and CEO of Directions for Living.

In addition to the broad scope of services offered at Directions for Living, which includes primary care, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health care, homeless outreach, and many other services, Directions for Living is also proud to be the provider of Dependency Case Management and Diversion Services within the child welfare system of Pinellas County through its Child Safety and  Family Preservation division—one that often went unacknowledged under the former name.

“Directions for Living is proud of our commitment, contribution, and success in protecting children and  preserving families—our new name, logo, and brand promise allow us to share that excitement with our community, funders, and the people we serve,” said Lott.

PeakBiety revitalizes graphic identity for Heart Gallery

October 21, 2010 By PeakBiety 3 Comments

Tampa, FL—The Heart Gallery of Pinellas & Pasco recently tapped the creative talent of PeakBiety branding+advertising to assist the non-profit in updating its logo as well as identification of an expanded sponsor base.

As part of the national movement founded in 2001, Heart Galleries all over the U.S. provide traveling exhibits featuring the faces and stories of local foster children ready for adoption. Professional photographers donate their time and talent to create portraits of foster children as an emotionally safe way to connect children with families.

Unlike many Heart Galleries that are part of a state child protection agency, the Heart Gallery of Pinellas & Pasco is an independent, charitable organization that began four years ago as a grass-roots community initiative. The premier sponsors include Bright House Networks, The Higham Family, Progress Energy and the Tampa Bay Rays. The Heart Gallery also partners with Eckerd Community Alternatives, the lead agency for child welfare in Pinellas and Pasco counties. According to Kristin Brett, Executive Director, “We are so fortunate to have the luxury of working with such a top-notch design firm. Not only did PeakBiety modernize and streamline the logo, they figured out how to feature our sponsors in a very clean and logical fashion. This contribution is especially timely, since November is National Adoption Month, which provides the opportunity for lots of additional awareness for us and the children we serve,” Brett added.

Creative Director, Amy Phillips, to teach as adjunct faculty with IADT Online

February 25, 2010 By PeakBiety 11 Comments

TAMPA, FL – PeakBiety branding + advertising announces the recent appointment of its Creative Director, Amy Phillips, to the position of online adjunct faculty with the International Academy of Design & Technology Online. A valued part of the PeakBiety team for more than four years, her credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and post-graduate study at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, IL. In past years, Amy taught as an adjunct faculty for Advertising and Design at the University of South Florida.
When asked why she is interested in online instruction, Amy explains, “Two things attracted me to teaching online for IADT. One was curiosity about how online learning takes place. Through an excellent and intensive training program, I now understand some of the unique challenges faced by the online learner and instructor. Additionally, teaching a course such as Advertising Concepts is mutually beneficial. Students gain insight from an employed creative who practices in the real world, while I benefit from theoretical exposure, which keeps my own work at the agency fresh.”

The International Academy of Design & Technology comprises 11 campus locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Academy in Tampa launched the Academy Online in 2007, which now serves close to 3,000 students worldwide through its Virtual Campus.
